Cristi Maritan is a modern-day missionary in the truest sense. He is a young, married man who makes serving the people of his country
his main focus. Usually that involves helping poor families and children through running holiday camps and offering practical support.
Indeed he was himself the recipient of an Operation Christmas Child shoebox in his younger days and just one part of his ministry is
to seek to fairly administer the distribution to a country where the movement started over 25 years ago.
Although under the umbrella of Scripture Union Europe Cristi only receives a small part of his funding from SU but along with his own
great efforts to seek funding, he manages to make meagre funds go a long way in supporting the many needs of his impoverished land.
Along with Lidea, his part-time assistant, he travels extensively, telling people the Good News of Jesus and demonstrating his faith
and compassion in action. If you would like to hear more at first-hand then please do come and hear his inspiring and faith-lifting stories.
Our youth group has been to work alongside him over the last 2 summers and would highly recommend hearing what he has to say.
