The League of Friends
 of Fairford Hospital

( Reg. Charity No: 1006416 )

The League of Friends is a voluntarily-run registered charity which provides support to the Hospital and General Practices in Fairford and Lechlade, as well as other services which the over-stretched N.H.S. is unable to provide.

We may have no beds in our hospital but we are still very busy. Services include:

Friends in the Community Home Nursing Scheme supports those who are very ill or prefer to stay in their own homes with family or friends and supplements the work of the Doctors and District Nurses.

The Edna Dawes Lunch Club is held on Mondays at the hospital for the benefit of the frail, elderly and isolated in the area.

A Foot Care Clinic is held at the hospital for patients for whom nail cutting is a problem.

We fund a Counselling Service available for all age groups.

We Transport patients to surgery and hospital appointments using our team of volunteer drivers.

We Deliver Prescriptions to the elderly in outlying villages.

We Pay for training and the equipment for the First Responders in our area.

We rely on donations and fund-raising activities by well-wishers. If you would like to help, please click here.
